Even the most hardcore hikers need to relax sometimes, right? So sitting down to a few hours worth of movies about hiking seems like the perfect way.
There are heaps of hiking-related films around – 127 Hours is one of my favourites – but thanks to the internet there are a bunch that you can watch online for free. I admit they’re of varying quality but I’ve gathered 7 of the best ones, ranging from around 5 minutes to an hour in length.
I guess I should warn you guys in advance that one of them does contain nudity. If you think you might be offended, maybe head back to the Bushwalking Blog homepage and find something else to read. To everyone else, happy viewing.
Finding Farley by Leanne Allison

The Longest Way 1.0 – walk through china and grow a beard! by Christoph Rehage

I think you know about the TrailRider that my husband, David Stratton (see blog link above) and I encouraged Parks Victoria to introduce into Victoria’s National Parks.
Such a great program to get people with disabilities back out bushwalking again. The video link is in the blog intro – but on YouTube here. It’s a 5 min video commissioned by Parks Victoria.

Hi Ros,
Yes we’ve all been in touch before. Hope you’re well! 🙂 Thanks for commenting and thanks for the link to the YouTube video. I’ve seen it before (it’s excellent!) but hopefully some more people will see it here.
All the best
Neil
